Kamineni opens health centre

Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Saturday said the State government was taking all steps to upgrade the government hospitals and create more facilities, on a par with private hospitals to serve the public better.

He was speaking at Pendurthi on Saturday after inaugurating a community health centre with 30 beds built at a cost of ₹4.34 crore.

Later, he laid the foundation stone for a two-lane road in Sujatanagar.

The Minister exhorted the doctors and the medical staff in government hospitals to serve the public with dedication and commitment.

Local MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy sought health centres at Pendurthi and Sabbavaram under a special central scheme, and the Minister said the demand would be considered.

Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, he had allocated ₹10 lakh under MPLADS for providing ambulance in the area. He promised to strive to improve the government hospitals and health centres in the constituency.
