In their endeavour to provide academic development of children at shelter homes, the young team of ‘Make a Difference’ (MAD), Vizag Chapter, organised a ‘dream camp’ on January 26 and 27 at Haigreeva Resorts.

It was an outbound camp wherein children were given a chance to escape from their humdrum routines and were welcomed in the magical world of Disneyland.

“The young volunteers have taken great efforts towards such social responsibilities. I urge every student of the city to take up such community responsibility,” said C.H Jagadeeshwarudu, MD of Haigreeva Infratech Projects Limited (HIPL), the venue sponsors for the camp.

A series of innovative sessions, focusing on various aspects were held such as ‘Beautiful You’, a plenary conducted for elevating the self esteem levels of every child, ‘River of Life’, where they could vent out their emotions without feeling vulnerable, ‘Dream a Dream’, which emphasised on how effectively they could work on making their dreams come true, and a few icebreakers and creative sessions like glass painting, free-style dancing, guitar lessons, and magic show.

Overcoming ones weakness, working in teams, creative thinking, strategy building, discovering hidden potentials, and involving with people from various walks of society were the motives behind the sessions.

Apart from the rollicking activities arranged by the volunteers and field experts, a sumptuous lunch was provided at the year’s ‘Dream Camp’.
