ISKCON to hold contest on Gita

With an aim to inculcate spiritual values among students and thereby promote peace and harmony and well-being, International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is planning to conduct a Bhagavad Gita contest.

ISKCON is planning to conduct the contest at its Sagar Nagar temple on December 13 from 9 a.m. The 100-mark objective type test has been specially designed for students of Class VI to Class X, Samba Das, president of ISKCON, Visakhapatnam, said in a statement.

The contest will be in English, Hindi and Telugu. All the participants will be provided lunch on the temple premises and the accompanying parents or teachers.

On registration each participant will be given a copy of Bhagvad Gita book upon registration and a certificate of participation.

First prize winner will be given a train ticket to Vrindavan, birthplace of Lord Sri Krishna, and two-day accommodation there for three persons apart from a special gift. The second prize winner and another person will be given a train ticket to Vrindavan and two-day accommodation there. The third prize is a train ticket and accommodation at Vrindavan for only the winner.
