INTUC wins HPVP union polls

INTUC-affiliated BHPV National Employees’ Union has won the recognised union elections for Heavy Plate and Vessels Plant (erstwhile BHPV), the 17th unit of BHEL. INTUC district general secretary Neerukonda Ramachandra Rao said on Sunday that in the results announced on Saturday evening, they secured 369 against TNTUC-HMS alliance’s 279 votes.

INTUC national president G. Sanjeeva Reddy will be the honorary president of the recognised union.

While Alamanda Venkateswara Rao will be the president, Urukuti Babu Rao has been elected general secretary.
