Minister for IT, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh on Friday said Andhra Pradesh being a startup State was showing the way on how to create entrepreneurship out of a crisis situation.
Speaking at the valedictory of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Amaravati’s first edition of TiE Impact 2018 here on ‘Developing entrepreneurship and enterprise in educational institutions’, he said one had to learn how car rental agencies like Ola were able to make a roaring business without owning a single car.
“Innovation and out-of-the box ideas are required to become successful entrepreneurs in this world of disruptive technologies,” he said. TiE Impact brought speakers from successful incubators and E-Cells in educational institutions to Andhra Pradesh to share their experiences and guide the institutionsto encourage student-entrepreneurs.

Earlier, in his inaugural address, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said due to entrepreneurial leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the State had retained the No. 1 slot in ease of doing business for second year in a row relegating Telangana to second position.
He said despite the Vibrant Gujarat campaign, they were able to stay ahead of other States and pointed out how they were successfully holding CII Partnership Summits in Visakhapatnam and tracking progress of MoUs signed by the investors on real-time basis.
Praising the TiE effort to promote entrepreneurship in educational institutions, he said the State government would render full support to such initiatives.
AP Innovation Society CEO V. Valli Kumari said they were encouraging startups in a big way as part of implementation of the A.P. Innovation and Startup Policy. TiE Amaravati president Sateesh Andra said it was a great opportunity to organise the 1st Edition of TiE Impact conference in association with APIS in Vizag.
