IIM-V students secure internships in top firms

Of the 49 students who attended the recruitment drive organised as part of the Summer Placement Season for the first batch of students at the Indian Institute of Management - Visakhpatnam (IIMV) on Friday, 48 students were selected by 33 companies.

The drive, mentored by IIM-Bengaluru, saw the first batch receiving internship offers in the second phase of the campus interview.

A number of recruiters, including KPMG, Ernst & Young, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Xiaomi, Directi, Sky Quest and Sutherland Global, visited the campus and selected candidates for key product management internships.

Noida-based start-up Zoukloans also offered opportunities to budding entrepreneurs on the campus.

Chairperson of Career Development Services, IIM - Bengaluru Ganesh Prabhu and placement representative Arun Narayan, along with placement representative of IIM-V Ripusudan Adhikari, said the internships would help in grooming students into professionals.
