Humsafar express to run bi-weekly

Inaugural run from Bengaluru Cantt. station on May 25

The frequency of Humsafar weekly express between Agartala and Bengaluru Cantonment has been increased, with effect from May 22.

Now, the train will run as a bi-weekly express. On the inaugural day, the train will run as a special service with no. 02504 as per the tentative timings and stoppages and it will reach Visakhapatnam on May 24 at 8.50 a.m. and leave at 9.10 a.m. to reach Bengaluru at 4.15 a.m. on May 25, a statement issued by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division G. Suneel Kumar said here on Wednesday. However, the regular run of the Humsafar express will begin as bi-weekly—12503 Bengaluru Cantonment-Agartala Humsafar from May 29 on Fridays and Tuesdays and 12504 Agartala-Bengaluru Humsafar Weekly from June 2 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Train no 12504 Agartala-Bengaluru Humsafar Weekly express will leave Agartala at 5 a.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays to reach Visakhapatnam at 2.10 a.m. and leave at 2.30 a.m. (in the early hours of Thursdays and Mondays). It will reach Bengaluru the same day at 9.15 p.m.

In the return direction,12503 Bengaluru Cantonment- Agartala Humsafar Weekly express will leave Bengaluru Cantt. station on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10.15 a.m. and arrive in Visakhapatnam on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5.10 a.m. and depart at 5.30 a.m. to reach Agartala on Fridays and Mondays at 3.45 a.m.

Stoppages

The trains will halt at Ambasa, Dharmanagar, New Karimganj, Badarpur, New Haflong, Guwahati, Kamakhya, New Bangaigoan Junction, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Howarah, Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram,Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Perambur, Katpadi and Whitefield in both the direction.

Composition

The trains has 16 three-tier AC LHB coaches and an AC pantry car.
