The 710 flats in the Harita housing project of VUDA at Madhurawada are ready with infrastructure too in place. They will be handed over to the allottees by the month-end. Work on piped gas supply, fixing of individual electric meters, amphitheatre, and some landscaping are nearing completion. Harita has all the modern amenities — underground drainage with sewage treatment plant (STP), rain water harvesting, hydro pneumatic water supply system for bore-wells as well as municipal water supply, piped gas supply network for all the blocks, OFC cable network, well-laid blacktop roads with decorative, tiled footpaths and LED streetlights, lush green areas with abundant plants and landscaping with play areas for children.

Besides, it has three-storeyed community centre of 5,100 sft on each floor and an open-air amphitheatre for get-togethers.

The township has provision for convenience shopping and a hospital block.

Catering to all classes of society i.e. the project has LIG, MIG, and HIG categories.

The completion of the project by VUDA is set to boost growth in the vicinity. Taking it as a model, a number of private projects are being launched on the same road, say VUDA officials.

With only 710 flats coming up on 20.17 acres of land, the layout has huge spaces between blocks for ample ventilation. The project comprises 100 HIG flats (each of 1,800 sft built up area), 490 MIG flats (1,320 sft each), and 120 LIG flats (820 sft each).
