“I have been reading The Hindu since 1993 and whatever the paper does it is a refreshing change. The Hindu’s new Sunday edition has a lot of quality matter to read and even the design or re-look is an energising change,” said M. Hari Narayanan, Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.

He unveiled the new The Hindu Sunday edition at the VUDA Central Park here on Sunday. Later, he distributed the copies to about 50 morning walkers.

According to him, The Hindu had provided him a lot of reading material for his Civil Services preparation. Taking a copy from him, Srinivas Reddy, a morning walker, said that he had been a subscriber of The Hindu for the last 30 years and has also encouraged his two children to read the paper. M. Apparao, a second generation reader of The Hindu , welcomed the change and was visibly happy with the bulky ‘Sunday edition’.

“My family members will have more quality matter to read at leisure on Sundays,” he said.
