Reiterating that the State government is everything possible to ease the sand scarcity, Visakhapatnam MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana has said that sand can’t not mined indiscriminately owing to the limitations imposed by National Green Tribunal and that the commoners are not aware of such restrictions.

The MP who released a brochure for the CREDAI Property Expo-2019 at a curtain raiser event on Monday evening said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mogan Reddy was seized of the issue and a solution would be found soon.

“The government is considering a number of solutions such as formation of a separate corporation and appointing designated officers to ensure the smooth supply of sand. Manufactured sand can also be an alternative,” the MP said.

CREDAI former Chairman (Andhra Pradesh) K. Subba Raju raised the issue pertaining to sand scarcity at the event.

Pat for CREDAI

Congratulating CREDAI for successfully conducting property expos since the last five years, Mr. Satyanarayana recalled his long association with it. The sixth edition of the property show is scheduled to be held at Gadiraju Palace and Convention Centre from December 20 to 22.

CREDAI president (Visakhapanam) B. Srinivasa Rao said that potential customers were eagerly awaiting the event for its popularity. Honorary secretary V. Dharmender said the expo would be a bridge between the end-users and other stakeholders. “Special stalls are being planned to explain the difference between river sand and manufactured sand and the importance of water conservation,” said expo convener E. Ashok Kumar.
