Response to the ‘Mana Neeru, Mana Matti, Mana Rajadhani’ programme, sending water and soil from different places to Amaravati to be used during the foundation laying function of the capital, received good response, Collector N. Yuvaraj said on Saturday. Water collected in ‘kalasams’, along with soil from 925 gram panchayats and 192 municipal wards, are being received. They were collected after performing traditional rituals and all-religion prayers and would reach the Sri Nookalamma temple at Anakapalle on Sunday.

The ‘kalasams’ and soil would be segregated Assembly constituency-wise and, along with those received from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts, would be sent to Acharya Nagarjuna University on Sunday, Mr. Yuvaraj said while participating in the programme held at Durgalamma temple.
