Global publishing company to hire 150 candidates

A multi-location international scientific event, publishing company – OMICS Group – is conducting a recruitment test on April 4, 5 to select around 150 persons from Visakhapatnam region, AU Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju has said. Addressing media here on Wednesday, he said that OMICS Group, founded by an alumni of the university, organises over 1000 global scientific events and publishes over 500 journals in pharma, medicine, science, and technology. The openings are for programme coordinators, editorial assistants, and scientific content writers. Eligibility is M. Pharm or M. Tech or M.Sc in life sciences or B. Tech or B. Pharm.

Six-month training

The candidates need to have strong and polished interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. They should be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines, CEO of OMICS International Srinubabu said. Selected candidates would undergo training for six months at the company.

The company would be deploying 50 employees in the recruitment camp to be held on the AU campus on April 4 and 5.

The CEO of OMICS International handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh to the Vice-Chancellor as a donation to the Department of Chemical Engineering.
