Downstream prospects and emerging applications as well as the challenges and opportunities in the aluminium industry, mainly in India, will come up for discussion at the International Conference on Aluminium (INCAL) -2019, to be hosted in Bhubaneswar from January 31 to February 3, 2019.
Billed as a mega event in the metal industry, several big names, as well as stakeholders from the industry, policy-makers, industry leaders, officials from various States and Central government, domestic and international producers, students and citizens across the country and abroad will attend. The event is being organised by the Aluminium Association of India (AAI).
Brainstorming sessions on various issues confronting the industry will come up for discussion. A world-class exhibition on the theme ‘Aluminium India’ will be organised by the Reed Exhibitions of Germany, in association with the AAI.
The aluminium giants of the country, including NALCO, Vedanta and Hindalco, are playing a key role in making the conference a success. AAI president and NALCO CMD T.K. Chand told The Hindu that they would hold discussions threadbare to share experiences in various parts of the world and suggest measures on how to explore the opportunities in the aluminium sector in India.
The AAI has already conducted meetings in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bhubaneswar to showcase the importance of the event. Mr. Chand said they were expecting several big names – the who’s who of the industry, at the conference.
