January 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

A full-length comedy Telugu film, ‘Ee scene cut chesthe’, produced on the banner of Kam Factory, has completed shooting and is slated for release all over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in March.

Single schedule

“The film was completed in a single schedule in 10 days and the locations chosen were in and around the city. The low-budget film has 40 artistes and nearly all of them are fresh faces,” senior journalist Mani Sarma, who is making his debut as a director with this film, told the media on Friday.

A four-day theatre workshop was conducted before beginning of the shooting and that helped a lot in grooming the new artistes. The story revolves around the hurdles a person faces in making a film but a mix of humour and suspense form the backdrop of the film, said Mr. Mani Sarma, who is a topper in acting and direction from the Theatre Arts Department of Andhra University.

“Shooting and dubbing have been completed and post-production work is going on at a brisk pace. The shooting work used to begin around 6.30 a.m. and continue till 11 p.m. Sometimes, we could wind up only at 2.30 a.m. and that was possible only with the cooperation of our technicians,” he said.

“We used three 5-D cameras for the shooting and that helped us in completing the shooting in such a short time,” said the director of photography Anvesh, who has earlier worked as VFX supervisor for the film ‘Gallo Telinattunde’.

Lead actor Raja Rambabu also spoke.

The cast includes Teja, Anuhya, Trinadhaswamy, Hari Vinay, Dhanalakshmi, ‘Samudram’ Venkatesh and Bharat Bandaru. Editing is by Pavan and music is scored by Tarak. Mani Sarma has also written the story, dialogues and screenplay for the film.
