Ganja seized

Acting on a tip-off, the City Task Force police team arrested two persons from Allipuram area in the city on Tuesday.

The team raided a hotel room and caught two persons, Shamrao Tukaram and Datta Ashok Jadav of Maharashtra, and seized 48 kg of ganja (24 packets each weighing about 2 kgs), cash ₹1000- and two cell phones from their possession.

According to police, the two procured ganja from agency areas of Vizag and were supposed to smuggle the same to Maharashtra.

The market value of seized Ganja is about ₹1, 92,000.. The apprehended persons along with seized property have been handed over to SHO, II Town PS for further investigation.
