Flesh trade racket busted, woman rescued

The officials of City Task Force (CTF) on Sunday night raided a house and arrested two persons including a woman on charge of running flesh trade, at Murali Nagar under Kancharapalem police station limits. The CTF officials also nabbed two customers during the raid and rescued a woman hailing from Mumbai.

Acting on a tip-off, the CTF team under the supervision of ACP (CTF) A. Trinad Rao raided the house in the Sector – 2 of Murali Nagar and arrested the flesh trade organisers N. Lakshmi and Ch. Sekhar.

Police said that the organisers would reach out the customers by sending pictures of the victim online and receive payment through payment apps. The police also seized ₹3,000 in cash and seven mobile phones. The case has been handed over to Kancharapalem police station for further action.

Six held for betting

Meanwhile, the CTF teams raided a house at Sathivanipalem and arrested six persons when they were betting money on card game. The officials seized ₹62,000 in cash.
