Exhibition on welfare schemes begins today

A five-day exhibition is being organised by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity of the Government of India on the programmes of the Central government starting Tuesday.

The exhibition being organised at the Kali Mata Temple on the Beach Road would be inaugurated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Anakapalle Member of Parliament Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Field Exhibition Officer of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting P. Krishna Vandana told media here on Monday.

The photo exhibition is being organised to make people aware of the different schemes of the Government of India available for various sections of society.

It is being organised across India to mark one-year in office of the NDA government.

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is likely to go round the exhibition during his visit to the city on Wednesday.

Brochures and programme leaflets would be available in multiple languages to help people get information on the different schemes of the Government of India.

A ‘prachara ratham’ would also go around the State to ensure that the people of remote areas too get information on the programmes.
