Ex gratia sought for survivor

Member of Parliament from Anakapalli M. Srinivasa Rao has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release Rs. 5 lakh as ex gratia from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to the lone survivor of the accident, 11-year-old Eegala Kiran.

In the wee hours of Saturday, 22 members belonging to one family died in an accident when the van in which they were travelling crashed through the railing of road bridge over Sir Arthur Cotton barrage at Dowleswaram.in East Godavari district. Among the dead included Kiran’s father, mother and sister.
