EPDCL transmission losses down to 4.35 pc

The Eastern Power Distribution Company of AP Ltd has been able to bring down the transmission and distribution losses to an all time low of 4.5 per cent due to the committed efforts of its employees and staff, APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Revu Muthyalaraju said.

Addressing the staff and employees of the Discom at the Republic Day function organised at the Corporate Office here on Monday, he said the T&D losses for the year 2014-15 was 4.5 per cent which was lower than the 6.33 per cent in the year 2013-14. Under the second phase of DDG scheme 37 tribal habitations have been electrified and a number of schemes have been launched under the Union Government’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grama Jyoti programme.
