MP seeks steps to speed up widening of NH-16

Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa on Saturday reviewed the issues pending for development in Anakapalle Lok Sabha constituency.

On the request of Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, he reviewed the progress with officials and promised to clear them. Among other things, the MP sought speeding up of work on widening from four to six lanes of road between Anakapalle and Anandapuram on the NH-16, survey for laying new railway lane between Tuni and Kothavalasa and allotment of land and advance position to VUDA for construction of community hall at Kasimkota and Kothuru gram panchayats.

The MP sought officials to submit the status of MPLAD works from 2014 onwards on progress, completion and reasons for pending.

He asked the Deputy Chief Minister, who is also district in-charge Minister, for the district, to accord special permission to forest area (less than one hectare) to provide approach road from B.N. Road to Bhuvaneswari Matha temple at Aripaka in Sabbavaram mandal.

Mr. Rao also demanded opening of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Anakapalle, sanction of Kapu Bhavan, permanent Skill Development Centre at Atchutapuram and jobs to displaced families of Naval Alaternative Operating Base being developed at Rambilli.
