Visakhapatnam district topped the State with a per capita income of Rs. 1,40,648, higher than the State average of Rs. 1,07,532. Gajuwaka and Atchyutapuram mandals topped the mandals in the State in per capita income.
The district is giving a lot of support to the State’s economy and gross domestic product, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has observed during the Collectors’ conference in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Eighth districts have achieved double digit growth and with an achievement of 12.32 per cent, Visakhapatnam was second.
