DCI holds painting contest on corruption


A painting competition conducted by Dredging Corporation of India on the theme -- evils of corruption -- attracted 333 participants on Wednesday.

The students created a riot of colours by portraying how corruption has become a mainstay in society and the need to wage a war to weed it out.

Chief Vigilance Officer V.V.S. Sreenivas said DCI had commenced preparatory activities for Vigilance Awareness Week early to ensure good participation in the event. DCI earlier conducted inter-collegiate elocution and essay-writing competitions. The winners in painting competitions were given cash prize by Anupama Tripathi, one of the judges. DCI Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Tripathi spoke on importance of Vigilance Awareness Week.

Awareness drive

HPCL-Visakha-Vijayawada-Secunderabad Pipeline Project conducted an awareness programme against corruption at Dr. L.B. Bullayya College on Wednesday.

Over 100 students took part in the essay-writing and elocution competitions. Dean K. Satyanarayana spoke on the importance of maintaining integrity in public life. HPCL Chief Manager Arun Kumar Mishra, Senior Manager C. Pratap and others spoke.
