Several of the 81 works taken up with various grants during the last four years are still going on and they should be completed at the earliest, Municipal Commissioner M. V. Satyanarayana has said.
They include Chief Minister’s special grant (four works, Rs.3 crore); MPLADS (188 works, Rs.12.39 crore); Assembly constituency development (291 works, Rs.15.92 crore); 13 Finance Commission (50 works, Rs.36.1 crore); SC/ST Sub-plan (134 works, Rs.13.21 crore) and Visakhapatnam Port Trust (81 works, Rs.27.68 crore ).
A progress report on the various projects had to be submitted and if any bills were not paid they should be cleared. Besides, if any work was not launched owing to land problems it should be mentioned so as to take steps to solve the problems.
