July 29, 2013 01:03 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 08:50 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Collection of domestic waste, separated as dry and wet, will be resumed in MVP Colony area.

The collection had been taken up earlier under the pilot dustbin-free programme.

Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana asked officials to work out details for introducing the collection again.

Earlier, during his ward visit, he enquired about the implementation of the new sanitation scheme “Viswam” from residents in Subhashnagar, Gowrinagar and Durgapuram in Wards 41 and 42.

He said sanitation workers would be paid wages by the 26 of every month and if anyone was absent after that it would be adjusted in the subsequent month.
