The sit-outs at the zoo will also be improved and animal enclosures will be given a fresh coat of red oxide paints,” Chief Conservator of Forest Rahul Pandey told The Hindu .
Every enclosure will get fresh signage. This apart, the zoo officials have also hired a team to carry out landscaping works at the circular road junction near the entrance.
The sideways of the paths leading to enclosures will also be given a fresh coat of paint. The canteen renovation is also under way.
To give uniformity to all animal enclosures, the stand-off barriers will be painted with a uniform colour.
“From next month onwards, Vizag zoo will be in top shape and visitors will be able to enjoy an enhanced experience,” Mr Pandey. said. The zoo has recently hiked the entry fees and charges for all other facilities inside the zoo.
