After encouraging response to her maiden Bollywood film Chor Bazaari , city-based model-turned-actor Ipsita Pati wants to try her luck in Tollywood.

Cast in main lead role in Chor Bazaari directed by Rajiv S. Ruia of Zindagi 50-50 and Main Krishna Hoo fame, she has already signed offers for heroine role in two Hindi and a Telugu movie.

Having made an impact in glamour world, Ipsita, who hails from Belagunta of Ganjam district from neighbouring Odisha, did her schooling and college education from Visakhapatnam. She shot into fame in the glamour world by storming into Miss Universe India final in 2010 and getting crowned Miss South India in 2008.

With passion to act, dance and sing, Ipsita wants to make it big in the film world. Chor Bazaari has a cast which includes Ankkit Narrayan, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Murali Sharma and Upasana. The film, which was released on May 29, is a love story with dramatic twist.

Sweeti Chabra (Ipsita) picks up Charlie (Ankkit), a thief, for research as part of her thesis preparation. In the process, she falls for his charms while studying criminal psychology.

Later, she reforms him into a good citizen. The film is produced by Sunil Omprakash and Narayan Goel.

“I am very happy with the initial success of the film. We are confident that Chor Bazaari will be her launch pad for a successful acting career,” Ipsita’s mother Pooja Pati told The Hindu.
