Call to conserve oil and gas

A walkathon was organised by HPCL to create awareness on oil and gas conservation on Thursday. Flagging off the event near RK Beach, HPCL Director (HR) P.K. Joshi said that as natural resources were turning scarce, there was a need to save oil and gas and lay emphasis on using renewable energy resources.

Mr. Joshi said that following the advice of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the oil companies had come forward to observe oil and gas conservation fortnight to create awareness among people. He said that educating the masses on the issues should be a continuous programme. Among others, HPCL South Central Zone General Manager (Retail) G.S.V. Prasad and Deputy General Manager (LPG) K. Subrahmanyam were present.
