The bodies of the four persons, including those of three schoolchildren, who had gone missing since they ventured into the waters at RK Beach on Sunday evening, washed ashore on Monday morning.

While the bodies of K. Rohit Kumar, M. Ganesh Kumar, and Abdul Jabbar, all students of Std. X, washed ashore early in the morning, the body of Shariff, a marketing executive from Uttar Pradesh, was found late in the afternoon.

The incident occurred near Gokul Park, and the bodies washed ashore close to the spot where they had drowned, said Two Town Police Station Inspector R. Govinda Rao.

Four students ventured into the sea. One was rescued by a foreigner who was taking a stroll on the beach. Shariff and a few of his colleagues had gone for a swim.

The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination.
