Balighattam EO in ACB net

He will be produced in special court today

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday caught N. Venkateswara Rao, executive officer of Baligattam group of temples in Narsipatnam, while he was allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe amount of ₹ 10000 from a complainant at his office in Narsipatnam.

According to the ACB officials, the EO allegedly demanded the bribe from D. Eswara Rao, who works as caretaker of the temple’s ‘Gosala’, for doing an official favour of enhancing his remuneration to ₹ 6000 per month and issuance of a cheque worth ₹16,000 towards pending remuneration.

The EO was arrested and will be produced before the ACB special court on Friday, said ACB DSP (Visakha- urban) Kinjarapu Ramakrishna Prasad.
