Awards for two Vizag hotels

Two hotels and a tour operator in the city won awards on World Tourism Day on September 27 at a ceremony conducted at the Dr. Y.S.R. National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Hyderabad. The awards were given away by Department of Tourism, Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was the chief guest at the function.

The Park Hotel won the Ecotourism Project of the Year Award- 2013 and Fortune Inn Sree Kanya received the Award for Excellence- 2013. They received the award from Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Minister of Tourism and Culture.

Tour Operator

Welfare Holiday World that conducts domestic and international tours won the Most Innovative Tour Operator Award-2013. Apart for its 55 offices in India, the company has offices in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Nepal.
