Weeklong ‘Avadhana Saptaham’ concluded with the scintillating show by ‘Mahasahasravadhani’ Garikipati Narasimha Rao and performances by Bulusu Aparna and Pullabhatla N. Swaroopa at Kalabharati auditorium on Saturday. Incessant rain did not dampen the spirit of literary enthusiasts who enjoyed the brilliance of Mr. Narasimha Rao for the second time in the week.

He had performed the ‘avadhanam’ on the inaugural day and acted as director of the final day to enthral the audience.

The duo – Aparna and Swaroopa displayed fine skills in reciting poems extemporarily and Ghantanadam event, in which they decoded the notes of the gong of the bell – a steel plate stuck with a ladle – which formed a sentence turning into a special attraction.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narasimha Rao appealed to literary circles to provide assured patronage to the esoteric art so that the Avadhanis could make a comfortable living out of it and excel in their feats.
