Artificial limbs unit opened

RINL CMD P. Madhusudan on Thursday inaugurated an artificial limbs manufacturing workshop building at Mangalapalem (Kothavalasa) in Vizianagaram district.

The building, which houses the workshop and office, was constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.5 lakh by the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility for Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust. RINL Director (Personnel) G.B.S. Prasad inaugurated the manufacturing unit. Mr. Madhusudan later distributed artificial limbs to the needy. 

The workshop will be able to cater to the needs of 500 persons per annum. 

The trust has been distributing artificial limbs and tricycles to the needy in association with RINL-VSP since 2011.

The unit will cater to the needs of 500 persons per annum.
