Andhra Pradesh: Collectors appointed for new districts

Mallikarjuna retained as Visakhapatnam District Collector

The newly-formed districts — Alluri Sitaramaraju and Anakapalli — get new two Collectors, while A. Mallikarjuna has been retained as the Collector of Visakhapatnam district. As a follow up to the creation of the new districts, a G.O. was issued, late on Saturday night, effecting the transfers of 51 IPS officers. The present Joint Collectors of Visakhapatnam district were also transferred as part of the reshuffle.

The 2014 Batch IAS officer, Sumit Kumar, who was working as Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate (RB&R), East Godavari district, was transferred and posted as Collector of Alluri Seetharama Raju district.

Meanwhile, 2013 Batch IAS Officer, Pattanshetti Ravi Subhash, who was working as CEO of Andhra Pradesh Centre for Financial System & Services (APCFSS), was transferred and posted as Collector of Anakapalli district.

The 2017 Batch IAS officer K.S. Viswanath who was working as Joint Collector (Housing), Prakasam district, is transferred and posted as Joint Collector, Visakhapatnam district.

The 2018 Batch IAS officer G. Suraj Dhanunjay, who was working as Joint Collector (Housing), West Godavari district, was transferred and posted as Joint Collector, Alluri Seetharamaraju district.

Similarly, Kalpana Kumari, who was working as Joint Collector (Housing), Visakhapatnam district, was transferred and posted as Joint Collector, Anakapalli district.

M. Venugopal Reddy, who was working as Joint Collector (RB&R), Visakhapatnam district, was transferred and posted as Collector of Guntur district. Meanwhile, P. Arun Babu, who was working as Joint Collector (V,WS&D), Visakhapatnam district, was transferred and posted as Joint Collector, Eluru district.

Commissioner of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) K. Venkata Ramana Reddy was also transferred and posted as Collector of Sri Balaji district. Mr. Mallikarjuna, District Collector of Visakhapatnam was given full additional charge as the Commissioner of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority(VMRDA).
