Andhra Bank to open express branches

Andhra Bank will open SME Express and Retail Express branches in the city for speedy disposal of the proposals within seven days for retail loans and 15 days for SME loans.

General Manager C. Balasubrahmanyam disclosed this after inaugurating a new branch at HB Colony.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the bank was planning to open 500 new branches during 2014-15 across the country. Zonal Manager A. Narayana Prasad said they had launched 83rd branch in the zone and 56th in the district. He said they would open new branches in the city on BC road and in Vizianagaram district by the month-end. During next year, 15 branches will be opened in the zone.

The bank already started Sunday banking at Seethammadhara and Waltair branches.

AGMs N.V. Rajendra Prasad, S. Kamalakar, chief managers Ramakotaiah, Durga Prasad, and Rasheed Ahmed were among those present.
