It was a dream come true for 25-year-old Suryadev Dasari when his first exhibition was inaugurated at Visakha Museum this Thursday. Titled ‘Think’ the exhibition will be open till Sunday evening.

The exhibition that has 53 artworks introduces the visitors to a variety of art styles that have been explored by Dasari. This includes drawings made using newspaper cut-outs, single line drawings, comics and doodles.

“I have been inclined towards art since my college days, but never had the motivation to start working on it. It was only last year that I began painting,” said Dasari, a post-graduate from IIT-BHU.

To ensure that he pursues his passion, the artist came up with a unique challenge of painting on the picture every day. He took up the challenge on January 1 last year and manage to make 365 paintings by the end of the year. The paintings at the exhibition are a result of this challenge.
