The stamp issued by the India Post to mark the First International Day of Yoga has been added to the collection of city-based philatelist Commander (retired) G. Srirama Rao.

India Post has brought out stamps and a miniature sheet in the denomination of Rs. 5. The stamp depicts the logo of International Day of Yoga where folding of both hands symbolises yoga, the union, which reflects the union of individual consciousness with that of universal consciousness, a perfect harmony between mind and body, man and nature. The green leaves symbolise nature, blue symbolises the water element, the holistic approach to health and well-being. The brown leaves symbolise the Earth element, brightness symbolises the fire element and the Sun symbolises the source of energy and inspiration. The logo reflects harmony and peace for humanity, which is the meaning of yoga, according to Cdr Srirama Rao.
