Alumni donate building to AUCE

Students of 1981-85 batch of Andhra University College of Engineering raised funds and got a modern building constructed for the Health Centre on the campus. The building was handed over to AU authorities at a function here on Saturday.

Named as 1981-85 AU Engineering Alumni Health Centre, the Rs. 70 lakh single storied building came in place of the old and dilapidated health centre building. Rector P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy, who received the documents of the building along with Registrar in-charge K. Samrajyalakshmi, appreciated the gesture of the old students and hoped other old students would be inspired and strengthen the university. Prof. Prasada Reddy also announced that a conference hall would be provided for old students soon.

Principal in-charge Ch.V. Ramachandra Murthy, HoDs, several retired professors, along with academic and administrative officials and many old students participated in the function.
