Notices are being sent to about 3500 persons whose applications under Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) have been pending so as to dispose them by the end of February.
Notices will be sent to them by February 20 giving them time up to February 26 to respond, according to VUDA Vice-Chairman T. Baburao Naidu.
Of the 6345 applications received, 332 were rejected on various reasons like it being a government land, lacking approach road, open space, master plan violation etc., he told media persons here on Friday.
While 135 were approved, for 2311 notices had already been sent for “shortfalls” like not having plan, field measure book sketch, non-demarcation of plots, ownership details or paying only part of the fee, he said.
If they respond the approvals would be given accordingly.
Teams formed
Six teams have been constituted at the rate of one for each zone.
“The teams were working till midnight sorting the applications and last night some 50 applications of one zone were found in another,” Mr. Naidu said.
The applicants were being contacted over phone or being given SMS also so as to complete the task in the stipulated time, he said.
The government memo on LRS dated December 1 gave time up to February-end for disposal. However, due to demonetisation not many responded in December, he said. One of the reasons for applicants not responding is the multi-fold increase in the fee payable towards open space owing to rise in market value, he said.
However, at the recent meeting of the VUDA Board extension of time was sought citing the problems.
Additional Vice-Chairman K. Ramesh was present.
