VISAKHAPATNAM: A day after a case of trespass was registered against him by the Pendurthy police, Anakapalle MLA Peela Govinda Satyanarayana denied the allegation and, in turn, claimed that the land in question was his as it was grabbed by the complainant.

Mr. Satyanarayana accused the complainant, Rajesh Babu, of filing the case only to defame him. The MLA said that he would file a defamation case against Mr. Rajesh for Rs.1 crore shortly.

Addressing the media, Mr. Satyanarayana said that he had bought 2.5 acres of land from a person from Yanam in 1965. Mr. Rajesh had occupied 108 square yards of the land, the MLA alleged.

The MLA also said that he did not damage any wall or gate as alleged by the complainant.

“Alleging that 108 square yards had been trespassed, the complainant went to court claiming that it was his land. But as the survey number showed that it was my land, the court on December 23, 2016, had granted status quo,” the MLA claimed.

He also said that Mr. Rajesh sent an e-mail complaint to the CM’s Office and the same was forwarded to the Intelligence Department. “I have all the documents to prove by innocence,” he said.

Mr. Satyanarayana also denied the allegation that he and his son had threatened Mr. Rajesh. “My son is not in the city for the last 20-30 days. How can he threaten him?” the MLA wondered.

Asked why the police registered a case when he had all the documents, the MLA said that the police did their duty.
