Association of British Scholars, along with the British Council, will screen short films on climate change in the city on Saturday.

Similar screenings will be organised in New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Association president R.V. Rama Rao, in a release on Thursday, said that the films had special focus on water.

This event was being organised to mark the World Environment Day at Hotel Park on the Beach Road.

Two directors of the movies Sushmith Ghosh and Rintu Thomas would attend the special screening and the British Council had deputed Rachana Sharma, championing the cause of climate change, to interact with the participants.

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Commissioner V.N. Vishnu along with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Vice-Chancellor S.V. Sudhakar would attend as guests.

The event was open to all, but was primarily meant for young audience.
