PM's Trophy team to visit VSP

A team of four assessors will visit Viakhapatnam Steel Plant from July 11 to 14 as part of Prime Minister's Trophy Assessment for 2008-09.

The team comprises Dr. K.N. Viswanath and Prof. Vilas Shah of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), J.C. Ayalwadi, former Executive Director of SAIL and M.M. Sangamnerkar, Senior Deputy General Manager, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.

The team will interact with Chairman-cum-Managing Director of RINL and other senior officials during corporate presentation and deliberate on technology and equipment management, marketing and marketing services, policy and strategy and corporate social responsibility activities.

The team will also interact with a cross section of employees at shop floor and winners of quality circle, suggestion schemes and Viswakarma Rashtriya Puraskars and visit areas covered under corporate social responsibility.

RINL has earlier bagged twice the PM's Trophy for best integrated steel plant for 2002-03 and 2005-06 and the First Steel Minister's Trophy for 2006-07.
