The new Pulsar 135 LS (Light Sports) of Bajaj Auto was launched in the city on Tuesday.

Managing Director of Varun Group V. Prabhu Kishore formally launched the new vehicle, said to be first of its kind in the country with a state-of-the-art four valve DTS-I engine, and handed over the vehicle to 151st customer.

The craze for the new bike was such that even before any publicity was given, 150 vehicles were sold out, said Bajaj Regional Manager Sadananda Swamy.

Pulsar 135 LS had a light-weight yet rigid frame aided by gas-charged Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear and is best suited to city traffic, he said. It is available in two colours – red and black – and is priced Rs.52,025 ex-showroom.

Mr. Prabhu Kishore said that the vehicle had speed, style and power, which the youth liked. “Varun Motors has witnessed launch of a new vehicle every three or four months during the past 10 to 15 years. This Pulsar 135 LS will do extremely well and we are hopeful that we can sell close to 500 of this alone every month,” he said.

Customer satisfaction

The success of Varun Motors lay in providing customer satisfaction with as many as 14 showrooms and 15 workshops in Visakhapatnam district, he added.

Earlier, Bajaj Area Manager Jagan gave a presentation of Pulsar vehicles and described its growth. Director of Varun Motors Varun, and Bajaj Area Manager Sridhar Iyer were also present.
