NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station has revived its fourth unit at its plant at Parawada near here.

This is for the first time that the power major is operating all the four units each with a capacity of 500 MW since the plant was shutdown on October 12 in the aftermath of Cyclone Hudhud.

An NTPC official told The Hindu that responding to the directive of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to revive the plant on a war-footing, the management initiated measures to operate all the four units.
