Implementation of Lodha panel sought

January 12, 2017 12:58 am | Updated 12:58 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Former vice-president of Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Mohan Das on Wednesday said the Lodha Committee recommendations and the Supreme Court guidelines should be taken up and implemented by the Andhra Cricket Association, for the betterment of the game.

“The ACA disqualified some of the district associations such as East Godavari, Srikakulam, Chittoor and Prakasam, as they opposed its decisions,” he said.

The Lodha Committee recommendations will come into force from January 19, and it is time that present and former cricketers and like-minded members of the associations stand up and force the implementation of the recommendations, he said.

Though the city has an international cricket stadium, the ACA has ignored the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (VDCA), said Mr. Mohan Das.

President of VDCA and MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju and other officer-bearers were present.
