5 hurt in fire at Pharma City

Five workers received burns in fire that broke out in one of the units at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City on Sunday evening.

“They received five to 20% burns when the incident occurred at Laurus Labs while replacing sump line by removing solid waste connected to the sewage treatment plant. It is a minor incident,” an official of the Factories Department said on Monday.

CITU State president Ch. Narsinga Rao blamed the management of JNPC units for frequent accidents.
