The YSR Congress Party, which has been operating with Hyderabad as its headquarters, on Monday performed a house warming ceremony for a temporary State office here.
Party MP Y.V. Subba Reddy performed puja for the office in a vacant site that belongs to former Minister K. Partha Saradhi behind Swagruha Foods on the Mahatma Gandhi Road.
Multi-faith prayers
The puja was followed by multi-faith prayers in which party leaders Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Botsa Satyanaryana, Umareddi Venkateswarlu, K Partha Saradhi, MLAs Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy, Meka Pratap Appa Rao, Kona Raghupathi and Mustafa participated. YSR Congress Party national president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would inaugurate the office in a week or 10 days before embarking on his padayatra, leaders said.
All activity related to Andhra Pradesh that was till now being conducted at the party headquarters near Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, would be in course of time shifted to the new office here.
