Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering is organising a three-day workshop on “The Internet of Things (IoT)”. It was launched on Wednesday.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or “things” embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

The IoT allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration between the physical world and computer-based systems. This helps in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit. Speaking on the occasion, resource person K Amarender gave an introductory talk on the subject. College principal A.V. Ratna Prasad and others also spoke.
