Director, State Council for Educational Research and Training, D. Madhusudana Rao on Wednesday unveiled a set of workbooks designed for Grade 3 in Telugu, English and Mathematics to support the regular curriculum.

Mr. Rao told a gathering of teachers here that the workbooks have been designed to support the regular curriculum and help children to cope up with their learning.

The SCERT has teamed up with Save the Children, a New Delhi based NGO, to prepare the books which would be distributed across all government schools. Stating that the workbooks would give a strong foundation and minimise the burden of designing the crash courses at mid-level, Mr. Rao said that there is a need for value addition to the regular curriculum.
