Will strive for people’s welfare: Somu Veerraju

BJP National Executive member Somu Veerraju has said he will strive for strengthening the party and taking it closer to the masses. Party workers would be given importance as it had been the practice, he said in a meeting at the State party office here on Friday.

Mr. Veerraju filed nomination as the BJP’s MLC candidate in Hyderabad on Thursday.

BJP State general secretary J. Syam Kishore, organizing secretary G.R. Ravindra Raju, State executive member Lakshmipathi Raja and State party office secretary Ramasai were present.

On the occasion, Mr. Veerraju thanked the BJP national president Amit Shah, State party president and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for proposing his name for membership of the Legislative Council.
