Will outsource doctors in govt. hospitals: CM

The State government is contemplating recruiting doctors through outsourcing agencies. Specialists and superintendents would be recruited on contract basis shortly.

Addressing the Collectors’ conference on second day here on Tuesday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stressed on the need for cleansing the medical and heath sector. As a move in that direction, the government was planning to introduce biometric system at all the hospitals in the State. A striking change was expected at all hospitals in the State from New Year, he said.

The government was striving for providing better medical facilities at the government hospitals. For the first time in the country, AP government provided tabs to ANMs. Incidentally, AP was the first State to introduce e-aushadi.

The services to women and child in the AP were far better than any other State in the country. The 108 services would be integrated with IVRS system to cater to the needs of pregnant women. The government could bring down the MMR and IMR drastically. The immunisation was 97 per cent, he said.

Krishna district Collector Babu A. said that the biometric attendance system was being implemented for employees of all levels in hospitals in the district. Explaining the attendance at hospitals, sub-centres, primary health centres etc through online, he said that 232 were on duty on Tuesday.

High-risk cases

As many as 49,799 pregnant women were enrolled with the district administration. It was identified 1,055 were high risk cases out of 5,892 pregnant case reported in December.

Measures were being taken to provide total healthcare for them, he said.
